Rachel Pollard, First Class University of Exeter Drama graduate, specialised in creative psychophysical performance and new media arts. After undergoing intense training for over three years under the tuition of Phillip B Zarrilli in the South Indian martial art form of Kalarippayattu she pursued her training at Circomedia.
Rachel also works internationally as a solo artist and has her own clothing label generated misfits creating bespoke designs.
Sebastien Valade, former Mechanical Engineer (Master Degree) experienced in structural engineering, computer and new media technologies, came to the UK from his homeland of France to study at Circomedia following his passion for creative juggling and physical performance. Sebastien also works internationally as a solo artist and as a professional juggler
Rachel and Sebastien met in 2005 at Circomedia (School of Contemporary Circus and Physical Theatre) and their mutual interest in innovative performance led them to create Green Eyed Zero. Integrating contemporary circus, physical theatre, and digital media they both challenge and stimulate their audiences through the use of unconventional theatrical methods. Green Eyed Zero are Associate Artists at Circomedia.
As a company they have successfully toured nationally to critical acclaim and have been recognised as "one of the most innovative and challenging young companies around" (Gareth Lloyd Roberts, WMC).
